LET'S GO, GOTOU

After the metaphorical dust from Hana's performance had settled, the lighting changed again, to something atmospheric and colorful. A vague sound of violins fluttered.

And then he appeared on stage. The first thing that most viewers noticed was the pair of legs. Long, pale, and very visible, thanks to his tall, skinny stature and short shorts, with a pair of long socks to create a zettai ryouiki effect. The next feature was, of course, the cat ears and tail. Well-crafted and black, they matched his hair perfectly.

The third thing that most people noticed was that this mysterious prettyboy was Toru Ishinomori. Once the spotlight focused on him, he smiled shyly at the crowd and raised his microphone.

"H-hey, Nanakamado-nya! I-I'm Gotou-kun, nya!" This was followed by a gulp and a little wave, as well as an amusingly luminous blush.

"Th-this, er, w-well... I... p-please enjoy whatever gifts of happiness I can bring, nya!"

Without further ado, the awkward boy burst into song, a surprisingly unwavering and on-pitch rendition of "Kind Omgel's Skleep," the main theme of Disco Revelations Adventelion. It was a tune that had been practiced through many awkward solo karaoke nights, and perfected while marathonning the series. As long as he kept his eyes shut, he remained on-key and surprisingly not terrible, even beginning to sway a bit with the song.

If people happened to look down towards the edge of the stage they would see the familiar form of Yukizaki Seiko. However, for some reason unknown to most, she was in some kind of catsuit. With ears, and a tail, and large paw gloves, and also she had drawn a little cat face on her face.

However, what people probably would have noticed was how the outfit seemed to be far tighter than it needed to be, and the fact she was jumping up and down and cheering Toru on with great enthusiasm. She was attempting to make him feel less embarrassed about the cat outfit she had persuaded him to wear.

"You can do it Gotou-kun!"

She had also realised, in a deeper, slightly less innocent manner, that if Toru messed up, if she turned to face the audience and jumped up and down enough she could distract them from whatever had happened on stage.

Noboru gaped upon realizing who was onstage, and then there was a moment of furious scrabbling to find the camera he'd hidden in his school jacket that morning for just such an occasion.

The camera was new, and worked as promised. It was totally worth begging the money off of his dad for. He could've waited until after the show and bribed the tape away from whatever poor sap had been tasked with taping all the performances, but this way he got a more...personalized version. The first minute or so of the tape was undisguised ogling of Toru's legs.

He had a wide grin on his face the whole performance, for entirely different reasons than Seiko's enthusiasm ("enthusiasm" that he happened to catch on tape once or twice as well, for predictable reasons).

"Let's go Ishinotaku!" he jeered, trying to be loud enough to be heard from his class' section.
