WHO: Keiichi and Seiko
WHAT: Seiko wants advice about a certain...someone.
WHERE: Hallways, post class.
WHEN: Wednesday afternoon
WHY: Cause K1 and Tom are bestest friends.

With the day of class over, and no Cooking Club today, Keiichi found himself with free time following the final ringing of the bell. He slowly began to gather together his books and things, packing them into his knapsack.

It looked like a peaceful day ahead, but things had a way of changing in the blink of an eye.

Which is to say that someone was going to talk to him, because otherwise, this would be really boring.

Seiko had formed a plan. Not an incredibly imaginative plan, but a plan.

Maeko's advice on what to do had been confusing, and involved far more punching than Seiko had really thought was necissary in a confession situation. So instead she had decided to turn to someone else, someone who probably understood confessions better, but more importantly understood Tom.

So her grand plan was to ask Keiichi. She hadn't really spoken to him much, but he had come to the conclusion that as a guy who knew Tom, and seemed fairly normal he'd probably was her best bet of working this thing out.

However she wasn't exactly comfortable with going up to someone she didn't know that well and explaining all the specifics, so she would attempt to be vague and hope he didn't realise what she was talking about.

Wandering over she gave him a grin. "Hey Keiichi-kun, can I talk to you for a moment, I need some advice from a guy."

Glancing up, Keiichi noticed that Seiko was standing in front of him. This, he decided, was somewhat odd considering he'd barely spoken to Seiko outside of dungeons. This, despite her being in his class.

Still, he nodded a hello. "Um, hello, Yukizaki-san," he managed, blinking a bit. "I, err, suppose I can help. What do you need advice on?"

Victory! Phase one of the plan was complete, she had managed to get Keiichi to stay and talk to her. Now she had to work out how to get talking to him about confessions and without making things painfully clear.

"I know this is kind of out of the blue, but uh I guess normal rules don't really apply..." She assumed it was probably acceptable to randomly come to someone for advice when you had risked your life in Paradise to save them and seen the worst parts of them personified as a monster on a chariot.

"I need some advice from a guy about-" she paused for a moment and tucked her hair behind her ear trying to work out exactly what she was going to say, deciding that maybe some directness was needed she continued. "Confessing, you know like romantically." She shrugged. "All the guys I am friends with are from the team. They are all a bit, uh, unsuited to this kind of advice. But you've always seemed pretty normal and helpful!"

She gave Keiichi a very wide sunny grin leaning against one of the desks. "I'm not really sure how to do it, he's not really very...Clued up on relationships, or uh being social or..." She trailed off realising that maybe that line of conversation would really make things too obvious.

"Oh," Keiichi replied, looking around to see who was left in the room. Seeing no relevant personnel, Keiichi continued in a low voice. "You like Tom, don't you?"

He paused for a moment, seemingly lost in thought. "I know he liked Sonozaki-san for a while," Keiichi admitted, "though I'm pretty sure that's over now." He flushed an interesting shade of pink. "Judging by what happened in Kozue's...place, I suppose I understand why his confession didn't work."

That was about all he was going to say about that topic.

"Still..." Keiichi rose from his chair, looking her over. It was much easier to look her over now considering her outfit wasn't a dress that more or less resulted in breastsbreastsbreasts. "You seem happy most of the time," he observed. "That would probably be good for him. And even the brightest people need a little bit of realism. I learned that, believe me."

But how to approach Tom?

"Your best bet," Keiichi said, "is probably to be blunt. Blunt tends to work best with him."

Seiko blinked, was Keiichi a mind reader? She had totally been sneaky! Except it was probably fairly obvious she'd only talk to Keiichi about someone 'socially awkward' if it was Tom, she needed practice at this subtlety thing.

With a sigh she nodded. "Yeah I-" Then she paused, he had liked Renju? Well that potentially made things harder or easier. Easier because it meant he did know those kind of feelings existed, but harder because he might still like her, or after being rejected he might have given up on it altogether.

After that pause she continued. "Please don't tell anyone, only Maeko-chan knows, well she sort of does. Her advice was a bit strange."

She smiled again when Keiichi instead of trying to dissuade her, seemed encouraging. It made her feel a whole lot better about even contemplating confessing to Tom if someone close to him thought it was at least possible, or at the very least he hadn't laughed at her.

"Blunt? But I can't just arrive at his door all 'oh hi, I really like you, date me!'...can I?"

"That...might be a bit too blunt," Keiichi agreed. "At the same time, though, you really must know that he's a bit oblivious to things. Though, I'm sure you already do. I think it's all the detectiving, really."

"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone." Really, Keiichi wasn't much for the gossip mill; possibly and probably because he was the subject of it enough that it truly bothered him.

"If you like him, tell him so. I would imagine after the past incident with Sonozaki-san, someone cheerful and pretty like you making the first move would take a lot of pressure off of him. You might have to be persistent, but I can't imagine he'd say no."

"Oblivious is...A very good way to put it." Seiko admitted. "I'll just have to be careful what I say. And hope he doesn't think I'm lying or..." she waved her hands, it was a valid concern when it can to Tom that he might think this was some kind of trick engineered by the killer, or she was a shadow or any number of other theories he might come up with that she couldn't even contemplate.

"Thanks, I mean if it works it'll come out I guess, but for now I'd rather it wasn't spread about."

She smiled yet again, Keiichi was turning out to be exactly as she had expected, the normality and helpfulness he was expressing was pretty refreshing considering some of their other teammates. Then again, anyone who suggested a post-shadow fight grouphug was likely to be kind, at least by her reckoning.

"Persistent? Yeah I guessed it probably wouldn't be easy. But uh, if he liked Renju-san, well she's really smart." She looked slightly embarrassed. "I'm not, I mean I'm not stupid or anything but I'm not like her."

"...or something else that only Tom can think of. Believe me, I know. I talk to him reasonably regularly."

Tom's world view could best be described as unique, really.

"Honestly," Keiichi said, nodding a bit, "I think you two would be better than he would be with Sonozaki-san. She's somewhat shy. Tom might have his social issues, but I would not classify him as shy in the least bit."

Seiko nodded and hopped up from the table she was leaning against.

"Thanks I needed to hear this, its kind of worrying, I haven't done this before, and I haven't exactly chosen the easiest person really." She smiled at Keiichi. "Its nice to have someone say its a good idea, or that it may work who has an outside view."

She really did appriciate it, and it was good if unusual to have a reasonable, sensible conversation with someone on the team.

"I owe you one, if you need me for something just ask." She added, moving towards the door.
