Who: Noboru, Toru, and Isamu
What: Toru attempts to rescue his stupid Choraloids from the (affably) evil Noboru.
Where: Boys' dorm, near Noboru and Sammy's room.
When: After this.
Why: Because Ishinotaku will not stand for this!

As he lay sprawled across his bed, Noboru wondered if maybe returning these items would somehow make him an "enabler," as his mother would say (often about his father). This was the same Ishinomori Toru who had been hospitalized after playing Matsuri Online for twenty-four hours straight just last May; if Noboru - however innocently - gave him back these tokens of otakudom, would that mean he was encouraging an unhealthy obsession?

Then, just as quickly, he dismissed the thought. He'd actually seen Toru outside of his room in the months after that - sometimes with actual people! - and he'd looked functioning and well. He appeared to get along with his new roommate. Maybe that incident had been a wake-up call and he'd gotten the help he seemed to need.

Noboru smiled to himself and twirled one of the keychains of interest around his index finger (the name of which he didn't remember or particularly care about). That was good. Despite appearances, he always did have a fondness for the misfits of the world. (...Speaking of which, where was Sammy?)

But he'd made no promises that Toru was going to get them back without at least a little hassling.

Toru was distracted from Isamu by the dangling keychains in front of his face. A second after his eyes went wide with livid dismay and Toru-flavor rage, his hand shot up and out at them. This only resulted in his stumbling forward into his upperclassman's chest as Noboru pulled them away.

"D-dammit! Give those back!" Of course, Toru was hardly in a position to be making demands of anyone.

"...I-I'll let Sugiyama-kun look at them if you give them back, senpai..."

Noboru figured he had done enough to be able to cross off "Bond with Ishinotaku" off of his to-do list that day, so he let the other boy off easy. He said, "Okay," and held the keychains up again, standing there with a placid look on his face like he was waiting for Toru to grab them back.

"Please do - you know how exciteable Sammy is." This he said with a wink to said person.

Hesitantly, he reached for the keychains. There was a chance that Noboru would snatch them away again, but it was a risk Toru was willing to take.

"Yeah, yeah... I'll show them to Sammy."

He was more than a little exasperated, but more than willing to share his interests with Isamu. "Yeah, it's a leek. Miki loves them! For like, cooking and stuff. But she uses it for a baton, like a cheerleader! Because, er... well, Choraloids are singers! They've all got different voices and you can write music and lyrics for them to sing and then they can be in music videos, so they're good at dancing and stuff! A-and this is Miki, who's the main one, and these are Lin and Ren, who are twins... a-and Naito, who's a really cool dude... And there are other Choraloids besides these ones, and they all have different voices..."

Toru wasn't entirely aware that he was rambling so much in front of his neighbors. He couldn't help it that much.

Noboru let Toru take his keychains back without incident, and then stood there as he explained them all to Isamu, arms crossed over his chest and a relaxed smile on his face.

Ishinotaku could be kind of funny when he was like this. Even though Noboru didn't really like this otaku stuff himself, watching Toru get so into it was entertaining. Despite himself, he was almost finding Toru...weirdly endearing in that moment.

Well - he caught himself. It was mostly "God, what a dork," feelings, but there was some legit endearment in there. Maybe.

"Aww, you do have some manners after all." Wait, what was he - "You should come visit more often, Ishinomori-kun." That was fairly neutral sounding, right? Serious, but not too serious; light, but not a big joke? "Come with me and Sammy to Kigakiga sometime."

Toru had eased into that calm state he reached whenever he had to explain something nerdy. There was actually a liability that he'd stay like this for a while yet, and would need to be carted back to his dorm.

Then Noboru had to go and give him an invitation.

His eyes widened, and he staggered back, flushed with embarrassment. "Ah, er... T-takagi-senpai, that's... do you... for real? M-me?"

Isamu listenned, completely fascinated until some dust caught light from the window and stole his attention. Leeks and singers and shiny dust...the world really was full of some very nice things.

He returned to reality in time to nod furiously and once again start invading Toru's personal space, throwing an arm around his neck. Awkwardly, given the haight difference between them.

"For super real! We're dormmates! So we have to all hang out together!"

"What Sammy said," Noboru agreed, nodding at Toru. He would've gone over and put his arm around Toru from the other side, but he thought that would've been laying it on a little too thick. He could only handle so much teasing in one day, even if it was Toru.

Instead, he put a fist on his hip and cocked his head at them both. "Stop blushing like that, you act like I just asked you out on a date. I know it could be difficult, but try and pencil us in to your busy schedule sometime, okay? How about after school this week?"

	Still blushing and trying not to think about "oh god arm on my neck what," Toru nodded furiously. It was better to agree when he was surrounded, and it wasn't like they were like Reizo or anything. "O-okay! Y-you guys can stop by any time you'd like, and I'll be there!" The effect was amplified by him nodding well after he'd finished speaking. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Toru wasn't the only one nodding, the boy half-hanging from his neck seemed to be joining in and was cheerfully agreeing with himself. "We will then! You're in all the time?" He almost sounded like he was thinking. After a brief pause for maybe-thinking he resumed nodding. "That's really great! We'll show up and get you sometime!" (Reply to this) (Parent)
