To be honest, Shiori was nervous. Oubai-san always seemed so distant and formal and like he was on a totally different level than Shiori; she didn't really talk to her classmates (or used to, anyway), but Oubai especially seemed unapproachable. It was why Shiori was so surprised when he asked if she wanted help with school - which of course she accepted, because help was help - but the fact that maybe he was nicer than he seemed still didn't deter the apprehension she was feeling now. Would he be quiet, like he had been that day in the cafeteria, and would they spend the whole time doing nothing but studying? Or would they maybe get off-track, joke around a little or at least talk about what had happened while he was gone?

In any case, Shiori felt like her heart was about to pound out of her chest. She felt stupid, sitting at an empty table with just her books to give her company. But she felt even stupider because she was so nervous. Really, it was just Oubai-san. Just a guy from her class. He couldn't be that scary, could he?
