Re: A REPLY TO ALL THREE OF YOU AT ONCE.
Kozue furrowed her brow, looking back and forth between Toshimi and Misaki. Did the beach make people crazy or something? It was Misaki she responded to, first, though, because at least Misaki's brand of crazy was, well, expected. "Even if we were playing for money now, why would we be using American money? I mean, we don't exactly have a money exchange up the street or anything. There's nothing up the street." And that was a fact that Kozue had already lamented, if briefly; no clubs, no boardwalk, no external excitement. No cute stranger boys.
She slid her own bet in without actually looking particularly hard at her cards; the calculations and math and hard thinking of this kind of game was not where Kozue shone. Pretending not to know the rules at all until she had a hand that even she knew was killer, and could sweep the table once? That was much more her style. "I'll see two hundred and raise fifty. I, uh, can do that, right?"
After betting, she regarded Toshi again. What had the girl been saying about... well, all of it? Kozue wasn't actually sure that she'd heard Toshi string together that many words, recently.
