The only good thing I can say about being so exhausted I can barely string words together is that it's given me very little time to think about the fact that my husband still has not met his son.

That will change. And it will change soon.

I know the healer wants me to mostly rest for a few more weeks but there has to be something I can do from here.

I'm awake, for the moment. Neville's asleep, for the moment. What needs to be done that can be done from a sitting position?

It appears that within the span of a few months, I've lead a rather varied career most can only dream of having in their entire lifetimes. Head Auror loyal to the legitimate Ministry. Death Eater overthrowing said Ministry from within. (And you would know all about that as much as I do, wouldn't you, Rookwood?) Death Eater on the run from a Ministry by Death Eaters. Anti-Ministry rebel turned in-mate at the very prison I've sent some of my supposed Death Eater friends. Hogwarts student, if an old one. And now a vigilante opposing the illegitimate Ministry, working outside of the very law I've sworn to uphold as an Auror. No surprise I was not Sorted into Hufflepuff. All that loyalty and justice business has never been strength of mine, apparently.

I hope none of you Death Eaters miss me as much as I miss all the fun we had together in Azkaban and at Hogwarts. If you do, I suppose you'll just have to catch me before I catch you.

I'll put a bag of sweeties in Friday's supply box for whichever of you correctly guesses how many gaffers have tried to hit on us waitresses between now and then. Tell the new parents I've managed to find some nappies for the little ones, too. Any other requests before I'm out of gold?

Also, I've told Lily I'll need one of you to pick up the box this time and she's volunteered. Or are any of you able-bodied men willing to save the poor new mummy the trouble?

Hey everyone! This is an OOC post to try and put together a little shindig where Rosmerta can be captured this weekend. What I'm thinking is Rosie will have a supply box ready and hidden in the back storeroom of the Three Broomsticks -- food, a couple bottles of whisky, nappies and home-mushed fruits & veggies for the babies (she doesn't know anything about babies, okay?), useful items I'm not thinking of -- and then whichever Order member comes to collect it could possibly be there shortly before, during or after Rosie is captured. If it's before or during then it would be long enough for a DE or two to notice she's trying to help the rebels, hence the warrant for her arrest. If it's after then the DEs could follow her to the back room, figure it out for themselves and then the Order member could be there in time to watch her being dragged off to tell the rest of the Order. Rosie will be posting something today or tomorrow about a promotion at the pub for discounted drinks or something which will hopefully lure the DEs into being at the Broomsticks.

I'm asking for this to be done on/near Friday (or overnight into Saturday) because that's my next day off this week and my August is a little hectic. It also gives a few days if participants would rather gdoc than thread as I'm up for either option. If anyone would like to volunteer their Order or DE character, please comment so we can put this all together. To kick things off, she's talking about the promotion and package in Lily's entry. Now that I've finally slept, are there any updates?

There's nothing quite like a job well done to start the morning off right.

PROMPT IS BELOW. Play can start immediately for anyone really itching to get into it. But remember. Safehouse Order members and Ministry/DE folks are the only ones with journals. But all the same, the prisoners have plenty of leftover classroom impliments in order to scrawl notes to each other if they don't want their guards overhearing them chatting.

HOWEVER, since I've just scheduled my thesis defence (huge deal) for the 6th of September, I don't think it would be responsible of me to participate this month, especially as I have another game I'm in.

For dictaquill to run in August I need a volunteer to organise a simple plot and handle signups/pbs

Hello! So June was interesting, and I enjoyed myself before I (and probably lots of you) got distracted with other stuff.

I kind of want to still give dictaquill a try and maybe do a less complicated prompt, but I need to see if anyone continues to be interested in it first!

So, just comment if you'd be interested in playing around sometime July/August. If not, don't worry about it!

There doesn't seem to be much of a chance that we'll be off this boat before tomorrow night. Gideon Prewett's on board, and he's with Were the WSS, so I'm going to ask him if anything can be arranged.

I don't know if you lot will be able to stay with me, but I'll be fine either way. With all the people turning up dead, I don't want anyone to know there's a fully-grown werewolf on board, unaccounted for. Not that any of the bodies so far look like the work of a werewolf, but we've I've got to be careful.
