Esras stepped into the operating theatre behind the new arrivals and kept as close to the door as humanly possible, he wasn't uncomfortable with violence and how worked up he saw Ben getting over Attie it made him even more comfortable with him, but it was just the situation in general that Esras found he was having difficulty dealing with, maybe it was the way that Icarus had reacted.
He barely managed not to avert his eyes from Ben and Madison but the conversation was crystal clear, he was amazed that Ben had managed not to kill the man, he would have if he were faced with someone speaking to him about Icarus like that. The part about intending to spend the rest of his life with Attie stood out particularly and almost had Esras choking but he kept his nerves, deep down Esras knew that he'd known for quite some time exactly how serious they were about each other but hearing it out loud like that still struck something in the big brother him, but it was then he realized that he wasn't upset- just a little startled. If Ben treated her the way he had for the past year and a half for the rest of her life he couldn't think of anyone he'd trust with her more, he'd certainly proved that he was willing to fight for her.
He cringed when he saw Ben flinch from the pain in his ribs, it would delay his healing some but not too badly, mostly it would just cause discomfort. When Ben handed the gun over he took advantage of the chance to get both of them out of there, "Doctor," he said stepping forward and uncrossing his arms and extending one to help Ben, he knew that his thigh couldn't exactly be comfortable, "Why don't we get you off your leg and take the strain off of your ribs. She'll be waking up soon, and she'll need you there." He slipped an arm underneath Ben giving him probably a little bit more aide and support than he needed to get out of the surgery. "I'll get the medical supplies and the bag out of the trunk. I can't make any promises on a car battery though" he directed at Sane before he left. He preferred not to make eye contact with Jasper unless he was checking her for a concussion.
When they cleared the doors he breathed a sigh of relief, "Jasper is a little crazy, believe me. You do not want to be there long enough to register on her radar." He helped Ben all they way to the door. "Make sure she's okay, alright? If you think we ought to give her a mild sedative for the evening go ahead."
