Action Scene: On the way to the Great Hall

Lucius led the way through the hallways of Hogwarts. He hadn't felt this good in a long time. He was alive with his family behind him. He could deal with the details of the Ministry later. If he could do it before during the first war, he could do it again.

Harry kicked at a broken piece of table, gazing up at ceiling. It was a sickly shade of red and Harry couldn't help but think it was enraged by what had taken place under it. He didn't blame it. Not at all.

Ginny had left to go find McGonagall and a bit of Harry's unease had seeped from his tense shoulders. His parents had liked her. Merlin, she looked just like his mother why wouldn't they like her. And Sirius. Maybe Remus had a point, back before he had died. There was suddenly something in that ghostly image that Harry could see in himself in the future.

He loved Ginny. Loved her like he loved Hermione and that wasn't in the wanting to bump uglies sort of way. Actually the idea turned his stomach...It might have been the slightly singed scent in the air.

The hall had been cleared of the dead, having to prepare for the massive funeral to take place. Harry moved to the center and stared down at the unblemished space on the floor. Here was where Voldemort had fallen. Right here not even 48 hours ago and yet Harry was already having issues recalling what had occurred. It was like it had been a bad dream. One he wanted to save to look upon later, but was slipping through his fingers like grains of sand.

"Blimey," he groused, raking back his hair. It still fell to his shoulders an odd length, but he hadn't been compelled to cut it yet. He liked it, hard to imagine, but he had been accustomed to manageable hair.

He had to get out of there. Harry weaved through the debris, torn bits of robes hanging on jagged edges of wood waving in his wake. The doors to the entry hall never felt further and when he got there he had the most ridiculous urge to throw them open and stride through them. Victorious. And he had been.

Instead he pulled it open and fraction and slipped through, immediately bumping into something that was his height and had blond hair.

Draco looked up, ready to apologize to Severus for walking into him. "I'm.." he started, then trailed off.

It wasn't Severus, it was Potter.

Draco drew himself up and fixed a sneer on his face.

"Watch where you're going," he snapped.

He didn't have the energy for this, but he wasn't about to let Potter know that. Unbidden the image of the Room of Requirement burning, rose to the front of his mind. He narrowed his eyes, and swallowed the bile that rose up.

"Well?" he demanded, "aren't you going to apologize? Or better yet go inflict your presence else where."

Harry opened his mouth in anger and reached for his wand, but before he could do anything Snape had him by the collar and was dragging him, forcefully, across the hall into what had once been Firenze's classroom.

"You know when people ask things politely, the recipient generally don't expect to be manhandled afterwards," Harry grunted, rolling his shoulders and taking ten very large steps away from Snape, backwards.

"Arrogant little prick," Snape said, sneering at Harry. "Just like your father, though now that he's back from the dead, you'll see that for yourself. And what shall your next trick be? Secreting bits of your soul far and wide so that you to will never die? You fool! There are consequences to that kind of magic, Potter and I have no desire to pay them because you once again acted without thinking!"

He glared malevolently at Harry. "I did not wish to be brought back so do not think for one moment that I am indebted to you."

	Snape's lip curled in disgust. "What you know wouldn't fill a thimble. If you think this has nothing to do with you, then you're an even bigger fool than I thought." Snape shoved passed Harry and back out in to the corridor. "I'm leaving. Draco, you know the way and the wards will recognize you. I don't know when I will return home." 	Draco glanced up as Severus came out of the classroom. He looked furious. "Of course sir, thank you," he said respectfully. His mother was already mad at him, he didn't want to bear the full weight of Severus's fury. Idly he wondered if Severus had killed Potter, he hoped so. (Reply to this) (Parent)

	It felt good to be mocking Potter again. This was something he could do. Maybe everything would turn out alright. He opened his mouth to tell Potter to piss off, when Severus pushed him aside roughly and drag Potter into a classroom. (Reply to this) (Parent)
