Action Scene: Severus Snape, Minerva McGonagall

Severus took the familiar winding staircase up to the Head Mistress Office for tea. He was fairly certain this was going to be extremely awkward for both of them. However, Minerva is one of the few people he actually respected and the things she'd said and done while he was in charge of the school had left lasting scars. He wanted to apologize, of all things. Steeling himself for rejection, he knocked on the door.

Severus snorted. "You know as well as I that I was only Headmaster to suit the purposes of Albus' schemes. As long as the Dark Lord thought I was in charge of Hogwarts, it was one less place for him to focus his attentions. I was merely a pawn given a hollow title, one I have no intention of taking up again."

Severus cocked his head to the side, studying Minerva. "And just so you are aware, I have no intention of returning as a Professor."

	Minverva sighed. She had known that Severus had not enjoyed many parts of teaching. "I am aware of this and I have been searching for replacements." The search was going slowly though, as the perception that the DADA post was cursed still lingered even after Voldemort was dead and the curse disappeared. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	"If you'd like some recommendations, I think I could come up with a few candidates," Severus said, beginning to feel less guarded. "I'm currently tutoring Potter to help him prepare to sit his NEWTs and once Miss Parkinson's moronic house arrest has been lifted, I'll be helping her and Draco get back up to speed before classes resume." 	"That would be very helpful, thank you Severus." Minerva replied, relaxing a little herself. She took a sip of her tea and leaned back a little against the chair. "I will have to see about arranging tutoring for the other students who missed their NEWTs." That was another thing she'll have to add to her ever growing list of tasks. (Reply to this) (Parent)
