Fleur moved about the kitchen with skilled grace, opening and closing cabinets, searching.

"Bill!" she called, shutting the last one in the row. She drummed her manicured fingernails on the porcelain counter top and pursed her lips.

"Thanks," Charlie said, taking the drink from Bill. "Yeah, I think for now he is, but he doesn't come out of his room much."

It broke Charlie's heart to even think about.

He took a long pull from his drink. "How are things at work? Chaos settled a bit?"
