Action Scene: Severus gives Harry another lesson
((PG-13+))

Severus found Harry to be a much better student when he wasn't surrounded by his friends. Granger wasn't there to do the work for him, and Weasley wasn't constantly whispering in his ear.

Or perhaps it was merely the fact that no one was actively seeking to kill Harry and take over the world.

"You're not as inept as you've proved yourself to be in the past, Potter," Snape said, grading the impromptu quiz. "Though you could have done better," he added, smirking and sliding the parchment back to Harry.

"If it's any consolation, you're at least wearing your Quidditch robes, though from what I understand, nothing beneath them," he added.

"Crazy old cat," Harry chuckled, wiping at his eyes.

Severus couldn't hold back his amused snicker. Minerva would no doubt kill him...again...if she knew he was talking about her this way. He knew good and well he was lying outright, but figured that what Minerva didn't know, wouldn't hurt her.

"I'll spare you the details about the things in Flitwick's room."
