Action Scene: Sirius in Gryffindor Tower waiting for Harry

Sirius prowled the Tower like a caged animal after his argument with James, an argument in which he still insisted he was right to yell at the insane bastard. He looked up at the clock on the wall and scowled. Where the bloody hell was Harry?

He'd told Harry to fire-call last night but he'd been so wrapped up in Remus he'd not even bothered to check if Harry'd arrived safely from his drunken night out until this morning. Then the argument with James and now, he still couldn't find Harry. He was starting to get seriously worried and hoped nothing had happened to the young man. A fine godfather he was turning out to be even this third time around.

He took one more turn around the common room then decided if Harry didn't come through the portrait in the next few minutes he was storming Hogsmeade.

"Well then, that should be interesting." Sirius grinned, trying to picture a young Moony with bright blue or pink hair and a duck bill that morphed with his moods. "Don't get me wrong, she was a fun girl at one time..." he trailed off.

"She's different now," Harry said slowly. "Different than she was even a year ago. I don't know why."

Startled, Sirius looked at Harry. "Yes, so Remus said." He stopped and looked away from Harry. He cleared his throat. "You were right about him not being happy," he said softly.

Harry snorted. "Do I want to know? Should I know? Nevermind, don't answer either of those. I still feel like an arse though."

Sirius chuckled. "Maybe it's best that I don't tell you just yet until Moony is here to tell his side. Why do you feel like an arse?"

"A lot of things," Harry admitted, and that was more than a little bit true, "the first that comes to mind is not letting Remus escape when he wanted to."

Sirius arched an eyebrow. "What do you mean? Did you twist his arm and say you must marry this witch? Somehow I highly doubt that, Harry."

"No, but I did tell him to haul his arse home to his wife and that I didn't need his help. I probably could have used his help more than once too."

Sirius pulled a face, wondering what Harry would have thought of his own words to Remus. "Ah, well, you know what they say. Hindsight and all that. I'm certain he understands. When was this?"

"Last summer actually," Harry reflected to some surprise. "Seems so long ago now."
