Action Scene: Ron's wandering the halls, looking for his sister
Ron wandered down the halls of Hogwarts, ignoring the ruined castle and the dull ache in his head. Fred's funeral was coming up, and he didn't want to face it. Regardless of what he said, he still resented Harry for not bringing his brother back. He rubbed the back of his neck, feeling a twinge of pain and he massaged the trouble spot until he bumped into something. "Sorry," he mumbled, taking a few steps backwards.

	Ginny winced, vaguely recalling that battle. She had been an inch away from death. "You wouldn't have lost me," she lied as she stared at the ground. "I managed to duck away from her hex in time." 	Ron nodded. "Yeah, we...um, had a row about this earlier. He said that he didn't know how it happened. It just did." He didn't want to get into the details, like his broken toe or how he felt like he wanted to punch Harry. "It's just odd, seeing Sirius, Tonks, and Lupin again, but never being able to see Fred." "Y-you saw Harry?" The last time she saw him was when they were both so happy and he was introducing her to his parents. It was the best moment she's had with him since the kiss they shared on his birthday. She wanted more moments like that.

Ginny shook her head. There wouldn't be any moments if Harry kept avoiding her and why was he avoiding her? "And Snape," she said softly. "He's here too."

	"Yeah, I can't believe I forgot the slimy git," Ron mumbled. How could the bat of the dungeons be brought back, but not Fred? Life wasn't fair. "When I saw Harry, it-it wasn't good." "Oh, Ron! Are you all right?" Ginny gasped and took a step forward, touching Ron on the arm.

"I don't know what to think, to be honest." She looked away. "I'm glad they're back and I loved meeting Harry's parents, but...I want Fred. George's just a mess without him." So was she. How would they be able to go on without Fred's pranks and laughter? "I don't want to go to his funeral."

Ron wiggled the foot with the broken toe. "I'm fine. Harry fixed my toe and we reconciled as much as we could. It still doesn't mean that I haven't forgotten, though."

"Me either." He shook his head vehemently to emphasize the point. "I don't want to have to see him, lying there..." he trailed off and tried to get the images out of his mind. How could the family go on without Fred?

	Ron grinned weakly. Ginny having kids?! The idea was enough to make his brain break! "Well, I won't talk to him. But it sounds like you two might have a few things to sort out." 	Ron nodded, thoughts of Ginny and little nieces and nephews calling him "Uncle Won" still dancing in his mind. "I'll do that. You two mend things up soon, okay?" He didn't want to have to pick sides between his best friend and his family in a fight like this. He knew he'd side with Ginny any day over Harry if he treated her badly. Ron shrugged and shook his head. "I guess I've gotten used to the idea. But if he hurts you, I won't be afraid to hunt him down and hex him within and inch of his life." He wasn't a violent person, but he was horribly protective of his family, especially Ginny. She had been through as much as he had in all his years at Hogwarts. And now with Fred gone, he felt that loyalty increase tenfold. He grinned, just to show her he was joking, however he knew that if Harry ever broke her heart, he would make good on his threat.
