Action Scene: Draco returning home

Narcissa sat at her desk in her own study, penning another letter with her long white feathered quill. There were many letters left to write to any official working at the Ministry who owed the Malfoy family favors as well as currying favor with the families who were currently the darlings of the public eye. She smirked and reached for another parchment. There was still the matter of Harry Potter and her dinner invitation. That would go a long way in restoring the Malfoys' reputation and name.

Narcissa leaned back into the chair, her mind racing at Draco's words. Harry Potter never told her, during their banter, that he saved her son. It did not change anything in her plans, she would still use him to redeem the Malfoy name, but perhaps she could feel some fondness for the boy. He did make her laugh.

"I see," she murmured. "I shall have to thank him for rescuing you. Do you think you could spend an evening with him without coming to blows? Or is that a question strictly reserved for Severus?" Her lips curled into a smile.

	Chuckling, Draco got up and sat back down on the bed. "Well luckily I have your etiquette lessons to fall back on, and we can always put a Silencing charm on Severus. Draco choked for a moment, before drawing a deep breathe. "Mother you really should not just say things like that without warning," Draco said, sounding amused. "A virgin?" Draco continued thoughtfully, "That makes sense, considering all Gryffindors are such prudes and have such a narrow definition of sex."

Draco wrinkled his nose at the thought of Severus in an even remotely sexual context.

Narcissa chuckled and inclined her head. "I may have to tell your father to tone down his flirtatious manner with Mister Potter if only to not have him running for the hills. Severus..." she broke off, pondering that thought. "I have never seen him give an inclination that he has any sort of those thoughts for the boy. Still, those two do not seem to get along. I just won't have them sitting next to each other. If my fine china can survive a year with the Dark Lord in residence, it can survive a night of dinner."

	Draco chuckled as he lay back on his bed. It was nice to be home again. He turned his head to look at his Mother. "Severus and Potter?" he asked incredulously. 	Draco nodded, "Yes, surprisingly Severus was actually in love with Potter's mother. Potter confirmed it the night of the battle." Strange the things he knew from the night of the Battle. Draco shuddered, "Marry a Weasley? All the red. And Mother there's no Potter for me to even begin contemplating marriage with, unless of course you mean Harry Potter."
