6 Week Time Jump- Week 3- Thursday

Who: Wolf and Gemini
What: building that Sybling-ish bond and leaning on one another
When: Thursday, Early morning
Where: The Farm

Gemini was crying again. She had never been the weepy type, had always been more likely to harden her shoulders and push through her day, but with Libby gone... and Saint somewhere in the unknown... Gemini just couldn't keep her eyes from clouding over these days. She hadn't been able to sleep last night, so she had drug her blanket out into the fields, taken Callum with her, and slept out under the partly cloudy sky. She had stared up at those clouds all night, praying that her loved ones were safe, and that this war would end with her sanity in tact.

Gemini sat up on her blanket to watch the sunrise, leaning against Callum's bulk as the brilliant orange filled the horizon beneath the clouds. Funny how the clouds, like her worry, would smother everything bright that the morning had to offer. It seemed all that Gemini did was worry these days... about Libby and Saint... and about Wolf. She could see the pain in his eyes more clearly than most, saw it on a deeper level that made ever worry line in his young face more pronounced and every frown line deeper. There wasn't much her could do here at the farm... things were so crowded, what with the Carrion and all of the Wolves sharing the space, that no one could ever find the space to think for a few minutes. But Gemini knew what he always though about. They were worrying about the same things. She just wished he would lean on her the way she really needed to lean on him at the moment... the way she had leant on him for days after that horrible nightmare so many weeks ago. Gemini pat Callum on his horse-sized head as she whispered in the early morning light.

"We need each other now, more than ever, Callum... All of us need each other..."

Week Fourteen - Sunday

Who: Blaze and Sensei
Where: Sensei's Room
When: Sunday, the morning after the St. Patrick's party fiasco
Why: Blaze doesn't feel good and wants some cuddles
Status: Complete

Blaze hadn't had a hangover like this since before the virus. He woke up just before dawn and was barely able to run to the bottom floor and out the back door to collapse in the alley with horibble dry heaves. He skinned his hand in the process and laid on the cold cement for a long time afterwards. His head felt like it was going to split in half and spill his brains all over the place. He drug himself to his feet just after the sun had risen. On his way back inside he found some wild mint growing against the building and sucked on a few of the leaves before spitting them out. The mint made his stomach feel a lot better and his breath a little less like regurgitated alcohol.

Despite the pain in his head, everything that had happened last night was all too painfully clear. He had been a real douche bag to leave Sensei at the party like he had, and he couldn't even begin to rationally think about what had happened between Junk and himself. All he wanted at the moment was to lay down and stop the pain. He practically crawled up the stairs to Sensei's room. He walked in without knocking and shut the door behind him. He slipped under the covers and nestled himself against Sensei's side, burying his face in Sensei's neck, seeking some relief from his headache in the darkness there.

Week thirteen past post

Who: Wren and Blackcat
When: The morning after the St Pattys day party
Where: Wrens room at the back of the house
What: Post coital awkward

When Wren awoke it took her point five seconds to realise something was different than it had been yesterday morning.  For one, she was naked...she hadn't slept nude since one of the kids had stumbled in on her rising from her bed in nothing but a baggy pair of boxers that she was pretty sure were Greys, and secondly she could hear the breathing of someone who wasn't her...a very warm someone who still had their arm slung over her middle.  Closing her eyes tightly she wiped the makeup from them and opened them to look to her side...at least she knew the man that slept beside her was Cat and she did remember bringing him back to hers, and luckily for her she remembered all of the events that took place once they'd fallen to the bed...he wasn't bad at all.

Once they had gotten back to the farm she'd made him be very quiet and sneak past the kids rooms, she'd tripped over a stack of books in her room, apologised for having so much shit in the way and then had promptly stopped when he'd started kissing and roaming all over her.  The thought put a smile on her face despite the fact that she knew she would have to try and nicely kick him out before it got too late and he'd have to do the walk of shame...gossip was just one of the things this tribe was good at.

Still looking down at him she carefully removed his hand from her belly and carefully sat up, the covers fell from her telling her that despite the warmth of her bed it was not so warm outside and she quickly leant over, as quietly as she could, and rummaged through an array of abadoned clothing to find her night shirt...a nice see through white shirt that she knew wasn't hers originally...where was all her clothing?

Who: Alice and Alex
Where: Sundance, WY
When: May 10, 2015
What: Broken Carousel and first meeting
Rating: Um...TBD nothing major
Status: In Progress

How her father talked her into these things she couldn't really figure out. The man had a way of working her pride like there was no tomorrow. 'Oh come on Alice', he said 'No one can weld like you can. You always talk about how I can't weld that great.' So of course Alice had hung up the phone and after gathering her stuff walked over to the traveling conglomeration of things. The Blue Midnight Traveling Carnival and Freak Show, boy wasn't that a mouthful, was several large tent, rides, side show, fortune tellers, an old lazy tiger, you name it and Alice could probably find it among all the things still hastily being set up before they were to open in just a few hours.

Her father and a guy, Alice could only assume was the Strong Man, lead Alice to what she needed to work on. She heard the guy ask her father if 'It was smart to let a little girl'... Before the man could finish Alice turned and fixed him with one hell of a look. "Hey buddy I don't tell you how to do your job." There was a good natured chuckle from the man who she could hear saying something about spunk. Alice just grumbled and got to work.

Alice was beside one of the carousel hares as it lay out on its side beside the carousel itself. It seemed while in transport from the last city they had set up shop in several of their piston driven carousel animals had broken. Alice with welding shield down over her face had her hair up in the standard ponytail; it didn’t do to burn her hair off after all. She wasn’t exactly properly dressed but she was in holy jeans and a camo T-shirt. The jeans had seen their better days and truly had more holes then denim and even had the peek-a-boo gash like rips around the base of her butt. Alice was a pretty girl if she bothered to try and even if she didn’t she wasn’t plain looking. She had been one of the few girls blessed, or cursed, with developing rather early.

Welding was like an art form to Alice. She had an affinity with metal and the torch in her hand with it blue green flame that sparked off of the metal in showers of red as it melted and melded once more together. There was no doubt watching that Alice knew exactly what she was doing.

How do you say goodbye when you're sure it's the last time?

Who: Allejandro and Ellie
What: Ellie leaves the ranch to find her own family
Where: The Reyes Ranch - Colorado, USA
When: Sometime around three years ago

Alle awoke with a start. The sun was beating down warm and bright against his face. He squinted with a groan and stretched, a shotgun held in his hands. He hesitated for a mere moment before standing rather quickly. He couldn’t believe that he’d fallen asleep. This guard duty thing, and the stress of the whole situation was starting to wear on him. The only thing that kept him going was his will to protect Ellie and his mother.

How long had he been asleep? He felt a chill as he rushed into the house and pounded up the stairs to find the last two people he had left. The ranch hands had all deserted, but Ellie had remained- and of course his silent mother had also. He’d told his mother as little as possible, but she wasn’t stupid and there was no telling if she knew the whole gravity of the situation.

“Ellie?” He called as he reached the top of the stairs, his heart was pounding in his chest from exhaustion and fear. He’d hardly eaten anything in the last week and he hadn’t been working out like he used to around the ranch. There was a lot of sitting, and waiting…for what, he didn’t know.

Who: Allison & Brett
When: Just under 4 years ago
Where: Berkely CA
What: The pair meet at a horse show
Rated: PG serious I know but this is before the virus!

Walking was from the food tent Peri was in a good mood. Her parents had been working at a new stable in California and today the horses and riders they had worked with had already won 5 or of 6 classes. The six Peri still though was a rip off considering the horse that he beat it had barely leg-yielded, but as her father said, 'That was the life of showing horses'. Peri had snuck away from her job as groom to grab a bite to eat she knew she had over an hour and a half to have the next horse ready for warm-up and she really only needed 10 or 15 minutes tops considering the horse would blind spectators already.

Peri hadn't exactly gotten what her mother would have considered a complete lunch since the bowl in her hands was full of ice-cream, but Peri would have argued that she needed the energy for the day. The truth was Peri had only so much money she could spend today and she had really wanted the ice cream.

Sitting down on a bench outside of one of the warm-up rings there was no doubt other saw her. She was a fine framed woman who as her mother would say had been overly gifted. She was wearing a blue T-shirt and some ripped off jean shorts, but that didn't hide what her body had become in the last two years. In likeliness she looked a bit out of place watching the horses with a goofy contented lopsided grin on her face and it certainly didn't help that she already had ice cream on her chin. Peri wasn't one to worry about her looks though; no matter how much her mother tried she had never gotten her daughter to wear anything more than lip-gloss.

Who: Jesse Fraser and Johnnie Jackson.
What: Leaving the party.
When: The summer of 2016.
Where: Sundance Country Club, the road, Johnnie's house.
Rating: R (adult language)

Stupid, stupid, stupid! How could she have been so damn stupid? Keeping her head down, Johnnie slid through the crowd. It felt like everyone was staring at her, even though nobody glanced at her twice. Slipping out of the party didn't take too much effort. Not even her parents noticed her absence. They were too wrapped up in their small talk, laughing along with Tyler's grandmother. She took a deep breath. Tyler. God. Pressing a hand to her forehead, she pushed open one of the small side doors. She'd never thought that dragging him away into one of the private suites so that they could argue in private would end that way. Her mother would be so proud.

Choking back hysterical laughter, she rubbed her temples. Her heels clicked sharply against the sidewalk. Johnnie had every intention of walking back to town. Her parents would be there for several more hours, touching base with all the other 'important' people that had chosen to attend. There was no way she was leaving with Tyler, and she didn't really know anyone else. Thus, walking was the only option. Except that her pretty shoes weren't really conductive to a long stroll. That didn't matter, though. She'd be fine. If nothing else, she still had her damn pride. Gathering up the skirt of her dress, she continued to click off down the road. It was stupid of her to even try to walk that far, but that wasn't going to stop her. Johnnie was stubborn when she needed to be.

The late summer breeze whipped at the ringlets that still framed her face. At least it wasn't cold. In fact, it was a fairly pleasent night for a walk. Or it would have been if she could still feel her toes. She managed to keep the train of her dress from dragging the ground by holding it up somewhere around her knees. Anyone looking at her would never imagine that the girl who was trudging down the side of a dark road was the daughter of the elite Jackson family. Not that there was anyone out and about. Everyone who had business at the club was still at the party. Johnnie was all alone with her confusion, focused on the distant lights of suburban Sundance.

Who: Lilah Hawkins (Griffin) and 'Brian Cassidy' (Jace).
What: Hiding from the authorities.
When: Winter, 2018
Where: University of Denver campus.
Rating: TBD.

They'd been cracking down more and more throughout the week. Already, more than three quarters of the student population had been hauled off to 'containment camps'. Lilah had heard the stories, the rumors about what things were like there. Nobody knew for sure, of course, since once someone went in, they didn't come back out, but there were always whispers. It was one of the reasons she'd been laying low, trying to avoid getting thrown in. Most of the people that were left were doing the same thing, keeping their heads down and dodging the guards that had been assigned to the area. Lilah had a deep seated concern about what would happen to her if she was caught. The law had been turned on it's head since people had started to die in droves, and she wasn't even an American citizen. Whatever happened, she knew that it wouldn't be good.

Keeping close to the wall, Lilah kept one hand on the bag that hung over her shoulder, trying to keep the cans inside from rattling together. Her dorm, and the people left inside, was running low on food. She'd volunteered to go and get some. It hadn't been easy, but she'd made it this far without being found. Her breathing was heavy, blowing out puffs of steam as she darted across another open space. They'd added more guards, making it that much harder to keep sneaking around. Bastards. Sighing, she took a few seconds to rub her hands together, trying to draw out some more warmth. At least the campus still had power. She'd heard that big parts of the city had lost electricity. She'd also heard that martial law had become even more fierce, especially in some of the poorer areas. Lilah didn't mind missing out on that.

The soles of her boots scraped against the slush as she sprinted down another breezeway. The cans rattled quietly as she leaned against another wall, peering out into the courtyard. It had stopped snowing. She wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not. Movies always made it out like the snow masked the noise. She'd take whatever help she could get. The cold air burned her lungs as she got ready to make another dash to the next available cover. In only a few more minutes, she'd be back inside, in the warm and relatively safe. That anxiousness was probably making her sloppy, though she figured she was still be careful enough.

Just went to show how much good figuring did for the average person. Lilah was so absorbed in her next goal that she didn't see the trio of guards getting ready to round the corner.
