July 26th, 2008 11:54 am Claim: Ariel Lin [ ] [ mood | nervous ] Player's Name: Kaidel Character's Name: Ariel Lin Character's IJ: ariel__ Nationality: Taiwanese What are they from? Actress Human/Mutant/Vampire: Human Background: Ariel Lin was born in Taiwan, and raised there too. She didn't have an eventful childhood. Her parents owned a company and so she pretty much got anything that she wanted, and a lot of others saw her as spoiled. But Ariel is really a kind-hearted person and not snobby at all. When she was 18, her parents sent her to Korea to study, and that's what she did. She studied in Korea until she decided that she'd much rather go to New York. She signed up to go off to New York, and left Korea when she was 19. Now 20, she's still studying in New York, and her English is pretty good. Her heavy accent makes it hard for others to understand her though. Ariel hopes that one day she will be able to teach Mandarin Chinese, but she doesn't really know if she'll be able to reach that goal with the way that her grades are going recently. Her accent is something that she'd really prefer to overcome. It keeps her from doing so many things. She's afraid to met new people because of it. Because of this, she spends most of her time alone or at home doing nothing, (when she's not at work or school, of course) maybe watching TV or something of the like. However, Ariel does enjoy music, especially pop artists. Sometimes she dreams of being an actress, but that is just a farfetched dream, something that will never happen, for her at least. She's sure that many others have reached their dreams, and a lot of them unfairly. Since Ariel spends so much time alone at home, she does a lot of thinking. Ariel's job is at Starbucks, which is probably the only place you will be able to find her if she's not at home. She frequently travels back to Taiwan to see friends and family.
