"I haven't figured that part out yet." She watched him intently before slipping her hand out of his. "I may not be able to communicate with you this way when it's bad. I might be able to sign to you, but I know you don't know ASL. But there's only one or two signs you need to know for now." She demonstrated the first one slowly, making sure he could see it clearly.
