Daryn didn't stop struggling until she heard Jonas' voice. Pulled to her feet, she was unsteady for a moment. The room was starting to quiet, at least externally. But the panicked and fearful thoughts still flooded her mind and she wasn't entirely sure which were hers and which belongs to other people. She didn't 'speak' to him, and she wasn't sure if his presence here was calming or even more nerve-wracking.
The guard on the floor slowly stopped writhing in pain, but he was still obviously in some sort of medical distress. No one seemed willing to speak up and answer Jonas' questions just yet. The teenagers were quiet now, but still visibly on edge from the altercation. The eldest of the group finally spoke up, since no one else seemed to be willing to do so. Motioning to the man on the floor, he gave him a sneer. "He killed my brother, he was about to shoot someone here until the doctor stopped him." Daryn gave the boy a sympathetic look, silently assuring him that it was alright to tell the truth.
