Taking a deep breath, Daryn finally took the 'stage' to share what she could with the group. Shifting her focus from just one mind to the collective whole, she paced the front of the room slowly. "I know this meeting has been tedious for some of you, and merely informative at best for others. I thank you for your patience and I ask you all to seek out myself, or each other, with any concerns, as always. I know that many of you are concerned about how we will continue to move forward. Winter will be quickly upon us and the weather will be no one's friend. However, this is the best opportunity we have to make meaningful strides forward. The government is as unprepared as we seemingly are for the cold and storms that are likely to overtake the island in the coming months. Despite five years in 'business', the government has made no noticable changes to how the island is handled in the colder months. With a bit of creativity, our combined abilities and the construction of much needed storm shelters, we can use the weather, and this government weakness, to our advantage. And if all goes according to plan, by spring we will be a force to be reckoned with."
She was a bit nervous about any reactions to this little speech, but she'd thought it over long and hard and from every angle possible, and in the end it was a smart decision. If approached properly.
