Hearing the young waitress' greeting, Daryn pulled her gaze from the window and greeted the girl with a polite smile. She took the offered menu but didn't really look at it. She'd already decided on her order before arrival and so she figured she'd just let her know what she'd like right away than pretending to browse the menu.
She hesitantly responded with her telepathy, knowing that not everyone enjoyed having a stranger in their head. "Afternoon, Julie. I'll just have water and the chicken ceasar salad, please." While part of her knew she should have ordered pasta, needing the carbs for the evenings activities, but she had a taste for something lighter. She just hoped she wouldn't regret that choice later on.
