Thank you to everyone who submitted their activity for the month of September.
Just a few notes on the game going forward:
The mandatory activity requirement for acknowledging game-wide events has been dropped since most characters did not seem interested or impacted by the events we've posted each month. Events will continue to be posted, in order to keep the larger plot line moving forward and to keep the game from going stagnant. If you would like your character to be involved in larger game-wide plots, and can commit to actual involvement in these plots (not just an offhand mention), please comment here. The general activity requirement remains the same.
Also, please remember the context of the game. Regardless of how and when your character arrived, they are trapped on this island, with only the necessities and very, very few luxuries. There are no fast food restaurants or variety of eateries, fashion is limited to what is available in marketplace shops or traded amongst residents, and entertainment is limited and likely somewhat outdated. For those who have been paying attention to the context of the game, internet access was limited and controlled by a mutant who has since died. There was/is a small window of availability for residents to use the internet more freely, but this availability is still monitored, just not in real time. It will be limited once again, and noted in an OOC post at some point in the future.
Regarding the Faction/Government characters, if you wish for your character to be involved/continue to be involved in those affiliations, please comment here. Doing so means that you are committing to making Faction/Government related activity a significant part of your role in this game. If you are not willing to commit to moving this plot forward, please re-think your character's involvement in the Faction/Government or any other sort of plot-dependent groups.
Finally, if your character is a mutant, please incorporate that into your play. It is the crux of this game, the largest part of the context that is often ignored. If your character's ability does not affect them significantly is some way/shape/form, it is not logical that they would have been identified and sent to the island. If you are no longer interested in having your character have a mutant ability, please comment here and adjustments to their status/history can be discussed.
