"Ah--alright." Camile hesitated but got in line. Parker continued to fuss, annoyed and scared. He didn't know this person! Where was Dad?
Maybe it was a maternal/protection thing but Camile didn't like the sound of his son crying when he could very well help him. He tapped his foot impatiently as he waited in line. "Large coffee, black, please." He didn't have time to be fancy, Parker needed him.
Parker was slowly getting louder so Camile hurried to put milk in his cup and then pushed the stroller over to a table, set his cup down.
"I can take him." He said again, trying not to sound as distressed as he felt. He knew Ginny meant well, but that didn't stop how he felt.
It was sort of amazing to him, before Parker he never thought he'd be capable of this parent thing. But the bond he had with the little baby was incredible. He was his son after all! Once he had Parker, they could talk normally again.
