With a sigh, she uncurled her legs and lay down on her back beside him, placing one slender arm under her head for cushion, the other resting on her stomach. She stared at the treetops, searching for the answer. Why had she called him?
"Well, word had reached my ear you had returned, though I must admit I hadn't actually been aware you had gone. It made me realize how long it had been since I had last been in touch with you."
That wasn't the real reason though, was it? She was stumbling over something in her mind, something she couldn't let go. It made little sense even to herself. She wasn't really sure she wanted to get into all that, even if Dionysos might actually understand her.
