"Well, a pleasurable afternoon is one thing. Bathing in the presence of beauty quite another," he said with a smile that belied his laying it on thick. He watched her interaction with the Maenads with pleasure, Dionysos always appreciated someone who could see his wondrous women for what they were.
"It always seems that way to me," he agreed, although to Dionysos it mattered little how the women appeared. It was the mad joy in their eyes that he loved. He would defend them to his death, though his madness was not unknown to drive them to their own.
"It's a shame we have been apart. I'm quite sure you were not doing anything nearly as wonderful as you would have been at my side." Dionysos seemed to mean it sincerely. He watched the satyr with a light in his eyes. "Your brood are too cold blooded for you. The light of Helios and the warm waters of the Mediterranean are what you need."
