Isis laughed along with Harmonia as she described her encounter with the woman over the necklace. "It sounds like Nanshe is handy to have around. We all need friends like that."
She shook her head when the younger goddess spoke of gardens. "I am afraid I cannot help you there. The plants that grow in Egypt would hardly flourish here in this moister climate. And Osiris was the one that knew about such things. I am afraid it was never really my forte, except where native plants were concerned."
It had been Osiris that taught the mortal about agriculture, traveling to other lands. Had he ever come as far as the Caribbean? She couldn't really say for sure, but she thought he had remained in the eastern hemisphere before his death. Perhaps she would ask him the next time she ventured a visit.
"So now you are living here all by yourself? Does it not ever get lonely? I mean, I know you travel, of course, but you are far from others of our kind, aren't you?"
Isis had never heard of anyone residing in Central America. Then again, even she could hardly know the whereabouts of every deity. And the natives must have once had their own pantheon as well.
