Startled to hear a voice call her name, she had to admit she was a bit disappointed that it wasn't the voice she hoped she would hear soon. But, there was nothing to be done about that, he would come when he was ready. If he came to see her, which she really hoped he did. If he didn't... well then it answered her questions didn't it? All of them. No, the voice did not belong to a Norseman, it belonged to the Egyptian known as Isis.
Harmonia smiled. "It is always a good time for you, Lady Isis." Always formal, always proper until told otherwise. It was a protocol she held on to from ancient times when the two had first met. At that point, it was more than just polite to refer to someone with a higher status than yourself properly. Harmonia may have been a Queen then, but she was not the status of Isis. Nor would she ever be. Nor did she want to be.
It seemed peculiar that Isis would call on her so suddenly when other than the brief encounter at Hedylogos' demolished chateau, the last time they had seen each other was thousands of years prior. What Balance couldn't recall was if it was before or after her children had died. Probably before, since Harmonia didn't remember Isis comforting Cadmus and herself at the loss of their children.
Not that many people did. Philotes did most of the comforting and later... much later after all was said and done... Nanshe.
"Come on over, we can sit inside if you like, or out here on the veranda. Would you care for something to drink?" Xenia won over, though this time it was not out of necessity of Xenia that Harmonia offered the beverage. It was out of genuine desire to do so. Just like it was with friends and well... Tyr, she had offered him things out of want, not necessity.
