If she was disappointed he didn't seem to recognize what she now considered "their" song, she didn't let on. After all, he did have other things on his mind. Very specific "other" things, as his comment proved.
She looked at him, a wicked gleam in her eyes. "There are some things I never tire of seeing, you know. But I shall have to take another look at that later."
Had she thought it a good thing he couldn't read her mind? His next words made her wonder momentarily, but she shrugged it off as coincidence, ignoring the little chill that ran up her spine as his fingers brushed her throat as he fingered the hammer.
"I, on the other hand, would love to take another look through this beautiful home. You have truly done a wondrous job, thank you." She gave him a peck on the cheek, then, looking around in puzzlement, she turned confused eyes on him. "Ummm, how exactly do we get back out of here?" Laughing, she gazed out at the view of endless space.
As he took her hand and led her out of the room, she looked up at him in concern as they reentered the living room. "I appreciate the sentiment, Thor, but don't you think you will get a bit bored? I mean, I can't imagine sitting around all day just talking would be very stimulating for you. You are far too enthusiastic and active for that."
She turned her head to gaze out at the lake through the large glass doors. It really was a beautiful view. Besides, looking away kept his eyes from seeing what was in hers.
