As she gazed in wonder in the small mirror, she gasped in momentary horror at the styles it showed her. Lifting a hand to touch her hair and make sure it was actually still as it should be, while turning to look in one of the larger mirrors, she couldn't help but laugh. It was an interesting addition to her vanity, that was certain.
She stood in the middle of the imitation gazebo, trying to take it all in. When had Thor become such a romantic? Even if she had come up the idea of a replica of a place that meant what this one did to the two of them, she doubted she ever could have stretched her imagination this far. As the birds flew by, astonishment would have been a light way of putting it. Once again, however, as she turned to him, the Thunderer cut off anything she might have said.
He was getting good at that today.
Sif looked about in puzzlement at the large, circular room. A room with no decor or furnishings, it made little sense until he began to show her what it could do. As a God and Goddess, there was really no where they couldn't go anyway, but this...
Even they would be unable to simply stand in the middle of the heavens, entire universes surrounding them in infinite space. She closed her eyes as he kissed her forehead, enjoying the brief touch, his voice, his words.
"Thor, there is nothing that can ever frighten me if you are with me. However, perfect as it is, I do think it is missing something. If I may?"
She ran her fingers through her hair, the source of all her magical abilities. A moment later, they were surrounded by music that seemed to come from everywhere and no where at once. "Dancing is ever so much better with the proper music, don't you think?" She could only hope he would recognize the tune. It had stuck with her ever since that night in the gazebo. One of these days she really needed to find out what it was called. It was hauntingly familiar, and she couldn't help but wonder if she would find it on one of her classical cd's.
"So, is there anything else you wish to show me?" Much as she wanted to explore their new home, part of her was quite content right where she was. She wondered, briefly, what he was going to do with his time, now that he had accomplished this task that had taken him away so much. It had never even occurred to her before this. Would he want to return to his shop in Midgard? He'd said he wasn't interested, as he had only done it as a means to get closer to her. She worried for a moment at the implications of his work here being done. Thor was hardly one to sit around and idly watch her knit all day, anymore than she would be content to do so. Where would she lose him to now?
She smiled at him, hiding whatever worry may have entered her eyes. Now was not the time. He was presenting his gift to her, the pride of his work and dedication to her. The rest would just have to wait. She supposed she would find out soon enough.
It was a good thing he couldn't read her mind, though.
