Isis was pleased Bast wasn't rushing off, even if she didn't say so. She had learned long ago that it was best to make it look like her daughter made the decision, even if Isis herself had delicately steered her. Especially if she was in a difficult temperament. After seeing her following Fatima around without getting any answers, Isis knew her mood was anything but agreeable.
Perhaps they were a little more on the same wavelength than Isis first surmised. "Funny, I was just thinking the same thing, Kitten. A visit to Thoth may indeed be advisable. I can find out if he made any headway at all with Set, as unlikely as it is, and see if he has any news from the Elders. Horus seems to think their silence is agreement, while I find that to be a bit presumptuous."
It would have to wait a bit, though. Isis didn't like to admit weakness, but she was downright tired. Emotionally and physically exhausted. But it didn't matter. Sigyn needed her help and support, and the queen couldn't turn her back on that. And she still was on constant alert, waiting as the suspense grew in her own land. Tensions were building, she could just feel it.
"This friend of yours. Is there anything I can do to help?"
