"HELLOOOOOO!!!!" Helios shouted back, laughing and waving enthusiastically. He spoke the word in perfect, fluent Japanese, having long ago developed the ability to converse with his friend Susa in the god's native language. A slight accent may have still been present in his tone, but really, that was unavoidable. That was another thing, too; Susa. Not 'Susan' like Helios had first misinterpreted. Boy had that been a funny conversation when they'd cleared it up.
When his ship came right up beside Susa's, the Shinto god's craft larger than his own, Helios tossed over a golden rope so he'd be free to go aboard without his own drifting away. The fact that Susa's was bigger and that he had guests was the only reason Helios went over. Normally he'd have invited his friend over to his, the sun god having found no ship more impressive than it in all his time. But that didn't matter.
A whole boat of Shinto deities? This was unexpected, and promised to be interesting. And one was already drunk and waving to him, or extremely friendly, or both. That made two drunk, friendly deities.
"I am Helios!" he called out, grasping a large net secured around the twenty-one casks of some of the finest wine to ever grace an Olympian's throat. There had been three more, originally, but Helios hadn't exactly gotten drunk off the sea breeze. "God of the Sun, from Greece!" And naked. Very naked. The sun filled him with a constant warmth, so clothes for Helios were more often than not unnecessary. He'd visited Susa hundreds, if not thousands of times over the years, and two or three times he'd done so with clothing covering his form. Two or three times, but he honestly couldn't remember when.
When the ships were only a foot or two apart Helios very, very carefully stepped over one railing, and then over the other. Very carefully. He actually slipped when he stepped onto Susa's, but quickly recovered, grabbing onto the rail with his free hand and steadying himself. Once he was safely on Susa's deck Helios pulled at the net, yanking hard until the grouping of casks came over the railing of his golden ship. There wasn't enough space for the pile to fall between the crafts thankfully, the net holding them all together, so from there pulling them into a pile onto Susa-no-O's ship proved an easy task. Easy, but in his state Helios stumbled back a bit once they came, arms reaching quickly out for balance.
He didn't fall. Cool. Cool. That done, Helios reached into the mouth of the net and grabbed one of the large casks, thrusting it at Susa's chest. "Hello, my friend! I see you're having a party! It's a good thing I brought so much!" Two more of the large casks were pulled out, one offered to each of the goddesses that stood near. "Is it ok if..." he looked to Susa then, eyes and face quickly dropping their jovial tone, "I'm not interrupting anything, am I?" The one had seemed happy to see him, at least.
