Re: Detaining Dio
Dio was singing. Loudly and badly. Zelos was pretty sure that was a good sign. He was also talking on a cell phone. “Hey, Dio buddy, can I have that phone? You need your hands free to sing to your tree.” Zee reached for the phone, only to have his hand slapped by a tree branch.
“Sonovabitch! Dammit, Dio, I’m trying to help you out here.” He did have Dio calmed down. That might be enough. All the danger seemed to be over. The Sumerians were over in their corner glaring at everyone and the Egyptians were just gone. Party was over. “Dio, it’s time to go home. The mortals need to start cleaning this up and making up some story to cover up what really happened.”
Whatever the wine god did now was not his problem. Zee was ready to go home and get that rabies shot. He saw his aunt Lottie come in and stop when she saw the carnage. This was not a place for her to be. He was headed over to her to get her out of there but someone beat him to her. A big Norse guy, by the looks of him. Possibly her latest partner. He would tell his mother about this. Styx would check in on Lottie later.
“Okay, Dio. I’m out of here. I’ll let your Dad know that you’re okay now.” He was so done with this day. All he wanted now was a nice drink and some company. Zee gave one last look around and left the building.
