Re: Dealing With Ninkasi
Enlil clicked it tongue and spoke quietly, “dramatics are unnecessary.” Quieter still meant for Nergal's ears only, he continued, “consider this analogy -though somewhat poor. Should Ereshkigal engage with Inanna, post altercation, would we send Nanna or Ninura to soothe her or yourself?” He raised an eyebrow at his son and then turned away to let Nergal stew on that for a bit. While neither of them were particularly fond of the Greeks, as a whole, there were just some truths that had to be faced... some of them had to be accepted as individuals and tolerated.
Like this boy, millinea younger than himself, who Enlil had to admit did something completely unexpected for a lackey of Zeus'.
… once it was time to intervene he put aside the well-being of every Greek there -didn't matter if he had anyone else present deal with it for him -he didn't take that side physically himself, and focused on Ninkasi's welfare. Not against it. Even though she had repeatedly been stabbing a son of Zeus. And the boy worked for Zeus.
The boy chose a Sumerian over his own people. Enlil was not entirely sure what to make of that. Other than he was definitely impressed. He would think on it more later, he was not sure such a thing had ever occurred before, but he would speak with his wife, with Marduk... with others.
Speaking evenly, so not to startle his niece from letting the Greek boy take hold of her -she looked extremely unsettled, Enlil spoke, “Kratos.” He'd always known the boy's name, but whether the kid understood the significance in it actually being spoken was unknown. “I would like an update on her condition later.” It was the closest to a please that was going to come out of his mouth, but she was his niece and obviously there was concern for her well-being.
