Re: Dealing With Ninkasi
Enlil did not stifle the roll of his eyes and strangely, it wasn't even at the Greek. It wasn't at his niece either. There was no question what her secret was, anyone with brains in their pantheon knew, but they all had tact enough to not speak of it. Because speaking of things that didn't want speaking of caused more trouble than they were generally worth causing trouble over...
.. see the current situation, as prime example.
Once again, proof that age had bred wisdom in dealing with these matters... and Enlil didn't care what Taweret might think on his handling of the current battle dealings.
The eyeroll was for his son, who decided the best way to comfort Ninkasi was to compliment her carnage. Perhaps Nergal was not going to be useful at all. “I said disarm her, not make it worse,” the lord of storms said on an exhale. “Somehow I think her going into an active warzone, wounded, and having to shroud herself due to Sharia to avoid being attacked as an immodest Arab woman, at this particular moment is not the most conductive to calming her down.” He sighed again and his vizier nearby stepped to the opposite side of his niece, just in case she did something... foolish.
But she was talking to Kratos at least, so insulting or demeaning the boy was not going to gain him or Nergal any ground. “You cannot remain here, your wounds need tending” he said, stepping closer to Kratos. “Where do you wish to go, Sidiri, and who do you want to take you?” Enlil nodded twice, first to the Greek boy to indicate for him to keep talking to her, it clearly had positive influence, the second was to Nergal to actually do what he had asked in the first place and remove the blades from her hands.
