Kratos sighed and set down his beer. It wasn't that he didn't want to spend the evening in a bar with his girlfriend. He spent many nice evenings in bars with his girlfriend. Which frequently led to amazing nights after the bar with his girlfriend. But those nights usually didn't include his girlfriend looking like she was about to go to war.
That was never good when said girlfriend was Sumerian. Never, ever. And even worse when the opponent in the conflict was a former Egyptian war goddess. While Kratos had great stores of faith in Ninkasi's ability to handle her own shit because desert goddesses were tough that way, Bast was also one of that rugged breed. And she had been a war goddess, trained under Sekhmet. Whatever the outcome, Bast could inflict a lot of damage before they were done.
That wasn't even taking the collateral damage of nearby mortals into consideration. Bast could go, and had gone, blender in crowds of humans. Dio was certainly not going to be a restraining influence on either of them. He might make it worse, honestly. And then there was the look on Kasi's face. If he wasn't worried about the mortals because of Bast, Ninkasi's expression still would have caused him some concern on their behalf.
Yeah, no, he had to go to the bar. Even if it was just to protect the soft and squishy. So no more craft beer at home for the moment.
With less than a thought, he was at the bar and pushing the door open. Just in time to see Hermod's reaction to whatever Dionysus was doing on the floor. Kratos chose not to get involved in that situation. Clapping a friendly hand on the young god's shoulder as he passed, he pointed down so Hermod could turn his attention to Dio.
Then, using his size, strength, and that little extra something that came with being divine, he simply began shouldering his way through the crowd of men in front of him. He had no doubt he'd find his girlfriend smack in the middle of it all. That's usually where she was in any given situation, but almost always when that situation happened at a bar.
