Lottie nodded when Dionysus' name came up. Of course Ninkasi knew the wine god, that made perfect sense. Lottie knew him as well. And adored him. Even when he made it... difficult.
When Ninkasi stared listing those from India, Lottie nodded again, but only twice. That wasn't an area she had traveled as much. Like Sumer. Names, she knew, yes. People she'd met, yes. But knowing the people? She was still working on that. Friendships were like flowers. They required nurturing and attention. And her garden was a bit sparse in that area. She made a note to correct that.
Then they got to the Egyptians.
Philotes' eyes lit up and she gushed, "Oh, Thoth. I love him to bits and pieces. And his wife. Isn't Seshat the most gorgeous thing ever? And she's utterly gaga over him, you know. She still watches him like she's got a crush she hasn't told him about. And he talks about her like she's his favorite book, so you can tell how much he loves her back. It's adorable. And Bes and Tawaret are an interesting and fun couple. So much fun. I love watching them together. Now, Bast and I, we get along fine, but I don't think we're ever going to be besties or anything. Maybe because I actually told her how hot I think Nubie is. And he is, oh. My. Gods. I may or may not have kept a picture of him on my nightstand for... a while. Not that I'm admitting anything, it's just, you know, hypothetical."
As she chattered away, Lottie was also busy scribbling away. She had produced a small notepad and pencil so that she could write notes and ideas for Ninkasi's older-than-dirt party. It was such a cool idea, it just had to happen, and Lottie was going to help.
"So, besides Thor, do you know many of the Norse? Like Hermod? He's such an absolute doll, but I bet he stammered himself into oblivion when he met you, didn't he? I think the only reason he didn't with me is because we talk engines, but he's still fire engine red a lot of the time. Which is even cuter, but don't tell him that, or he might have such a blood-rush to his head that it'll cause an aneurysm or something. Hmm, who else. Frigg-- she made me a scarf once, you know-- and uh, Tyr, and oh! Bragi and Idun! Have you met them? You'd love Idun, absolutely. And man, can Bragi tell a story! That's his thing actually. I could listen to him almost as long as I could listen to Hedylogos, and I could listen to Hedy for forever. Of course, there's also Vidar," she blushed, "my boyfriend. But we actually only met recently, and he's not much of a talker, so I don't know that he's met a whole lot of people outside his pantheon anyway, you know?"
