He let her pull away, but he was not going to let her go away. He gently put his hand on her arms. Not restraining her, not even holding her. Just touching her.
“Bast, don’t you understand?” Hermod was surprised that she had not figured this out. “I’m not going to leave you. You’re so special and wonderful and for some reason, you chose me. I’m not special. I’m just some guy from Asgard. You are so beautiful and adventurous and full of life and love. I’m not that exciting or adventurous.
