She sounded mad again. “After we danced, I should have taken you home.” He knew she wanted more than just that simple answer. He also had a feeling that she would not like what he had to say.
“We danced. A few times. It was a party and I knew you would be there. You wouldn’t miss a chance to dance. I wore the rabbit mask. I thought you would know from the first time we met.” It had become more obvious to him as that night wore on that she did not know who he was. And he never told her.
