All of her children were beautiful and she would fight anyone to the bitter death that challenged her opinion on that. Zelos' ego, however, needed to be poked occasionally... just for fun. Besides, teasing was one of the ways she showed her love since she never was one to coddle.

That is the greatest oversight people make, and sometimes overcompensation is a way to try to not be.” Her smile softened and she gave a very slight nod. She didn't even have to be talking about Zelos, she might not have been at all. She wouldn't clarify even if asked because it didn't matter. It applied to many, in her experience. Including some members of their extended family.
