There was something endearing about Kratos' question. Zeus wouldn't have gotten upset with him based on that alone. Well, that and he could never recall a time when Kratos was ever deliberately rude or disrespectful. But it was such an innocent thought, so all Zeus could do was smile gently. Remarkably so.
“Nothing is ever impossible,” he replied. “Extremely difficult at times... but never impossible.” The difficulty was almost impossible to fathom for those outside the situation but, it was such an idealistic and hopeful question posed to him that Zeus -for a moment, considered sharing not only what he'd learned in the early points of this conversation with Hera, but this last bit as well. Except that would require discussing the conversational part of his affairs with Hera and that never would go well. No matter how endearing the ending suggestion was.
“Speaking of Hera,” he said, over the rim of his glass as a new thought struck him. Something related but a bit lighter. “I believe she has, or had, plans to take Zelos with her for something or another... I would like to be a fly on the wall the moment he forgets who he's with.” Because the boy was far too accustomed to conversing with him, and it was likely to happen. Zeus chuckled because he knew Hera would never harm him, maybe knock the boy's pride down a peg... but not hurt him.
