Kratos seemed to hesitant to get to the meat of the matter. What in creation could possibly be so bad in the boy's personal life that he not only insisted on suffering it out without asking for assistance but was struggling to speak about it even now? Though it didn't show on his face, he was far too practiced for that, Zeus was a bit concerned.
And then immediately relieved upon putting the initial vague explanation into line with the following statements.
Ah. A woman. Was that all? Certainly he would never say that aloud, not just because it would have downplayed all of Kratos' struggled, whatever the full extent of them had been, but Zeus fully understood how difficult women made everything. Especially the ones that were actually worth wasting time on...
Ah. Okay. That put it a bit more in perspective. Turning his torso only, he replied with a small, somewhat gentle smile and a nod. “Of course. As long as everything is covered, you do whatever you feel you need to.” There was no need to state the obvious: that if something important arose, that took priority, but beyond that...
“I have always had faith in your decisions, even if I don't always speak of it.” Which he did, because Zeus had never had to clean up after rash decisions that were made. Kratos gave things thought and consideration -a trait a great number of the others on Olympus could learn to do more of. Especially in terms of difficult personal relationships.
With a knowing turn to his smile, he asked, “is she utterly frustrating at times?”
