Ninkasi would let her aunt see for herself that Taweret had brought her sister. There was little point in saying as much when the Egyptians were at their table within moments and Taweret was already being her normal self. Including the blunt comment about the pissed in cheerios. Lovely. It was so good to know that her sudden sour mood was just spread all over her face.
Worse still since Seshat was going to be completely out of her element here.
“It's fine,” she replied quietly. “I think Reshi's sudden invitation was an attempt to lighten my sudden shit mood, since she knows how your sister can be.” There was no reason for her to pin the blame on her mood on her aunt. Not now. Not here. It didn't matter if it was true or not, it was family drama and not to be drawn out further in public if avoidable.
