It wasn't that Ereshikigal lied to her husband. She never did that. Ereshkigal very rarely lied anyway, it was not in her nature. But there had been honesty between herself and Nergal from the very beginning, so she didn't lie to him. And eventually, she might let him know what she'd done with Ninkasi this evening. But that didn't mean she had to inform him right that moment.
Right that moment, she gave the bouncer at the door a quick wink and paid the cover charge for both herself and her niece. The bass thump coming from inside was louder, and again, she grinned at Ninkasi. "Ready?"
