Seshat was utterly confused, and it showed on her face. She didn't lie or prevaricate. There wasn't really any need to do so in her life, and even had there been, she wouldn't have. Learning, and teaching, required an honest approach and assessment to be successful. So why would Styx think that she had a reason other than those that had been stated for coming? Simply because she'd taken the time to do so?
"I wanted to apologize and attempt to get to know you better," she repeated, uncertain how that had not been clear before since she'd used the same wording. "I'm not sure how to explain that any better than I already have. I had no ulterior motive. I did not feel as though I had represented myself well in our first meeting, and I didn't wish that to color our future dealings, should they arise."
Which was why she'd purchased the books on making friends and begun her research on entering and exiting the Greek Underworld. Seshat blinked, and her face cleared as an epiphany occurred to her.
"It is possible," she said in musing tones, "that I got caught up in researching the trip to reach your home without giving due consideration to the previously stated goal." Seshat paused to think about that, and at length, she nodded. "Yes, I perhaps placed less emphasis than I should have on the end result. Though I do not believe that gives it any less importance, and I was sincere in my impetus for coming."
Meeting Styx's eyes, she concluded, "I hope that answers your question. If you have no others, and if you are amenable, I would appreciate those suggestions on an easier path out of the Underworld if you are willing to provide them now."
