Seshat blinked. "Isn't that what I said?" She thought that was precisely what she pointed out, in a less pithy and more informative manner. But as long as Styx understood, that was the important part, she supposed.
Styx was still standing by the door, but Seshat wasn't certain that they had come to an accord. However, she got the impression that if she hesitated much longer, the door would be closed in her face. So she stepped inside the home, feeling the marble press coolly against her bare sole.
"I assume then," she said, "that my counter-offer is acceptable? If so, if you would forgive the discourtesy, I could use a moment to make myself presentable again. There was a bit of a fall, or two, on the way here."
