“Oh Frigg made her priorities quite clear when she found out about me and Loki,” Sigyn said without rancor. “And on a logical level, I do understand. My current problem with Frigg is even when she's apologizing, she makes it about herself. After the fact, I can recognize that she really can't help it, it's part of her personality. But at the time, it felt rather insulting.
“But really, I wasn't even talking about Frigg. Or Odin. Or even Thor. But Skadhi... that icy bitch who came up with...” Sigyn turned her head away, fighting the renewed sting of tears, jaw clenched in anger. “And I know she wasn't the only one that had no remorse, but she was the worst. It was her words that... my son did not deserve to... be desecrated like that.”
Sigyn took several swallows of her doctored coffee, letting the slight burn of alcohol soothe her raw emotions. “That one is much harder to let go of. Even if I know I have to.”
