Well. No beating about the bush with this lady, was there. Then again, she knew what she was and plainly stated it, so Sigyn could hardly blame her when she just came out and said what she did. Still, she sat there for several minutes in silence, taking in everything Taweret had revealed.
It wasn't so much that Taweret defended children, or escorted them to the afterlife, that bothered Sigyn. It was that Loki thought it would bother her. So much so that he'd not introduced her to his friends, without ever having discussed it with her once. Because he thought she hadn't grieved properly.
Her.
She hadn't grieved. As compared to him, who had simply shut down for how long. He'd not spoken to her. He barely seemed to breathe. But she was the one that hadn't grieved properly. Sigyn sort of wanted to smack him.
Obviously she and Loki definitely needed to have that talk. Soon. But since he wasn't here and Taweret was... and looking at her with some concern... Sigyn would have to shelve that for later. For the moment, she tried to give a reassuring smile.
"I understand his caution, and I appreciate your concern," she told the other goddess. "I am stronger than I seem though. And if I have a problem, somehow I don't think there would be an issue with me telling you. You seem like you'd not take offense at plain speaking."
Then Sigyn took a deep breath and spoke her mind, as she just said she would. "But I don't need to be coddled like that, like I'm going to break that easily. I'm the one that held us together when things fell apart. I'm the one that dragged us out of that cave when Loki broke the bonds. I don't need to be wrapped in bubble wrap just because somebody might say something that would sting. Which is something I will discuss with my husband later. But I thought you should know now, since we're speaking plainly, so that you don't think you need to be something you're not. Don't walk on eggshells on my account. Please."
