Ha! She liked this woman already. Not that Taweret ever thought she wouldn't... the poor dear had been through Hell and back -Hell with two Ls because specification was required in this instance, and she had to put up with her husband's dumb ass antics, she deserved a tiara and a medal of honor for patience. Plus, she liked desserts. That already added a ticky mark in the plus column. So far the only negative was that it had taken this long to meet her, but Taweret was more apt to put that blame on Loki. He would have been more than welcome to bring her around whenever he wanted.
Men. That was the exact reason why the Egyptian pranked her husband as often as she did. He did irritating little things and rather than let them build up to the point of fighting over them, she used harmless pranks to get even and they'd share a laugh. Then it was over.
“Well, I haven't met this dessert before and I am more than prepared to get acquainted,” her grin was bright. “And you! How come you haven't come around here before? I keep telling your husband to bring you around and he's all, Oh, I dunno, Tee, you can be a bit much sometimes... And then I tell him I'll give you a bit much if you don't get your goddamn feet off my coffee table... again.” She laughed, because even the jibe shared with Loki had been all in fun. “You are a saint, my girl. But here you are, and I'm so glad you are.”
A dark hand reached for Sigyn's arm to guide to her toward the kitchen table. She didn't do that whole fancy sitting-room thing. For Taweret, the best place for conversation was always around a table with some food and drink. But, then again, like her husband she was a god of the people and not just the nobility. Peasants did not have all sort of separate chambers for entertaining and business. You discussed and met around the same place you ate.
“We'll just put those on the table, in easy arms reach.” Taweret had every intention of indulging on at least one or two things. Probably more. “Now, what can I get you? We have a ridiculous amount of beverage choices. Not just because of entertaining Bes' friends but my family has rather... wide tastes to keep satisfied. So if I don't have exactly what you want, I've probably got something close.”
