Bragi watched with some revulsion as Hermod attempted to eat chocolate dipped in ranch dressing. That it took his brother three full sentences to realize how revolting that had to be spoke to his mental state and the amount of distraction that was going on in Hermod's mind.
Truthfull, Bragi was a bit distracted himself. Apparently not only had the Messenger found a girl, they'd been having sex, and had now broken up. And it sounded as though his brother was quite attached. That had been a long list of superlatives attributed to one woman. Not that Bragi hadn't done that himself when describing his wife, but Idun was all of those things, and besides, he loved--
Oh. Oh dear. Hermod had fallen in love with this girl. And apparently she hadn't returned the feelings. Though to have sex right before dumping him seemed rather cruel. Had it been a misunderstanding of intentions, perhaps? Was the girl interested in a friends with benefits sort of exchange and Hermod did not comprehend? Had he somehow conflated sex into something it was not? Bragi needed more information.
"I think you need to tell me more," he told his brother. "For instance, who is this girl? Where and when did you meet? How long has this been going on? Give me details, Hermod."
