Really? Did he think that she was referring to his physical well being? Hera refrained from rolling her eyes and simply swallowed the retort that had formed in the back of her mind. Not long ago, she would have argued with him, but it no longer seemed quite as important these days. So she let him have it, let him think he was smarter than she was. It would make him happy anyway.
"I'm aware of his friendships," Hera said mildly. "But as you said, he's not malicious. If anything, he leans too far the other direction. So I may be wrong, but I am less concerned about repercussions from others, since I'm fairly certain he'll do his best to buffer anyone else from whatever is bothering him. However, if it's noticeable enough for you to be worried, it will affect how he performs his duties."
Hera set her utensils down diagonally on her plate to indicate that she was finished with the first course. "So why don't you concern yourself with the domino effect that you fear, and I will look into how it will affect him personally. I think we will be able to compare discoveries, as you put it, and follow that course at the same time. We'll meet again to discuss this once we've done so. In what? Two weeks?"
