Thoth was going to pull out all his volumes, and perhaps venture down a few levels into the vaults to look at the older parchments, on Norse history and mythology to see what he could find out about Vidar the Silent. It was not a name that immediately stuck out in his mind which did not mean that the man was at all unimportant. It simply meant that somehow in the expanse of all the information across the universe, it had escaped getting lodged in his memory. Or simply been discarded because he knew he could locate it in textual form at another time.
The latter was more probable. Especially since he could not recall having met the man. Had he, then he would then he have a recollection of the details. But, if Philotes was happy, then that was really all that mattered. Thoth was just curious.
“Yes,” he answered the question about the gift and took a sip of the coffee while thinking on the gift issue. “I am not the best with these things. I think too practically. Seshat it quite practical as well: likes her things a certain way, would probably like it if I put things away instead of forgetting them when I'm done.” At that, Thoth chuckled. She was irreplaceable to him. “Or at the very least stop leaving tea cups all over my study.”
